ACTIVITIES OF THE PROJECT

  • Organize Farmers training program at Village level. During the training program emphasize was giving on use of BULAND Brand SSP Powder & Granulator as it plays important role in making the soil productivity.
  • Explain about the contents of BULAND Brand SSP like Phosphate, Sulphur, Calcium & Micro nutrients and how it is important for crops & plants.
  • Explain the profit for using “BULAND” brand Single Super Phosphate in all crops instead of other Phosphatic Fertilizer.
  • We are providing comparison chart to Farmers for increase the yield after using Single Super Phosphate.
  • Company’s project members are participating in all Farmers fairs and Exhibitions related to Agriculture inputs & distribute various literature of our product.
  • Company also sponsor various conferences & program related to promotion of Single Super Phosphate.
  • Company arranging training program for Dealers & Co-operative members on regular basis.
  • We are submitting our activity report to State Government Agriculture Department as well as to Government of India (Through Agriculture Department) regularly.

SALIENT FEATURES OF THE PROJECT

Production Capacity (Licensed& Installed) is 3, 30,000 MT per annum
i.e.: Single Super Phosphate (SSP): 1000Tons/day

AVAILABILITY OF RESOURCES

1.Water Requirement

The project requires 600m3/day of water.  This will be obtained from the existing two borewells on the site where water is available at a depth of 30 m. As an alternative it is planned to provide process water from the following sources:

Sewage recycling

The sewage generated from Pansemal Town, which has a population of about 20,000 is about 2,000m3/day. It is proposed to provide a suitable sewage reclamation plant and use about 600m3/day of treated water for process. The local authorities have agreed to this proposal and have given a letter to this effect.

Rainwater harvesting

Rainwater harvesting will be provided over the plot of about19 acres.  For this purpose a water body will be created in about 1 acre area. This will help in meeting various water requirements of the industry including domestic use, firefighting and also it will maintain nearby water table.

2. Power Requirement

Electricity required for SSP manufacturing was 2000KVA and is sanctioned by the Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board..

ENVIRONMENTAL FEATURES OF THE PROJECT

1. Water environment

The process adopted for manufacturing of Sulfuric acid SSP will not produce any liquid effluent and is a zero discharge process. The only source of effluent is fluorine scrubber water from SSP den which will be collected and reused back in the process as process water. All the domestic sewage will be treated and used for gardening within factory site.
Thus there will be no effluent discharge from the proposed project

2. Air Environment

Major air emissions will be generated in rock phosphate handling, grinding and acidulation process of SSP.

2.1 Rock phosphate grinding

The Rock Phosphate grinding circuit will be under vacuum from the grinder to hopper bin. The collected rock phosphate dust from the bag filter is scrubbed with water and used in the process. This will eliminate any emission of dust.

2.2 Acidulation process of SSP

This is an exothermic process where the temperature rises to about 1000C. This exhaust will be routed through a four-stage fluorine scrubber, which recovers all the fluorine in the process. The acidic effluent generated from the scrubber will be recycled to acidulation process for dilution of Acid & washing of system.

3. SOLID WASTE

3.1 Hazardous waste

Only Hazardous waste generated from SSP manufacture is waste oil. This is about 2.5MT/year and is properly collected and reused in the factory for lubrication.

3.2 Non-hazardous waste

Scrap generated will be sold and garbage will be land filled within factory premises.

4. NOISE ENVIRONMENT

The plant will have various rotating machines including blowers, Air Compressor pumps, process pumps etc., which will generate noise. These machines will be provided with appropriate acoustic enclosures to maintain the noise level within limits.

5. STORAGE OF SULPHURIC ACID

Sulphuric acid will be stored in 5 nos. of 1000 MT capacity each. This quantity is equivalent to storage of 8 days acid requirement. Tanks made of MS plates will be having fixed roof, ladders and dyke walls of specified capacity.  Storage area will be provided with safety shower, eye was hand water tap.

6. PROPOSED GREENBELT DEVELOPMENT

The industry has a total plot of 19 acres out of which 6 acres will be used for greenbelt development. Trees, Hedges and Ground cover varieties identified for plantation are as follows:

7. ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING

As the plant is sensitive for air emissions we setup permanent air monitoring stations to check ambient air quality in the plant round the clock. Similarly stack monitoring will be done periodically as specified by M.P.P.C.C.B. Waste water will be monitored for leakage of pipes etc. In any eventuality of leakage, cleaning of tanks, etc. a waste water holding tank of 30m3 capacity will be provided with acid proof lining. The tank contents will be contained and recycled back to SSP plant.

As per Environment Act 1986 all the necessary documents and records required by MPSPCB will be maintained and submitted to the authorities to ensure safe environment at the premises.  This includes a Public Liability Insurance Policy and On-site and Off-site Disaster Management Plans.

8.CONCLUSION

The project is beneficial to the surrounding for various reasons:
a. It will provide cheap fertilizer to the farmers within the vicinity.
b. It will generate direct employment for locals to the tune of 1200 and indirect Employment for 800 including contractors,vendors,ectc.
c. Rainwater harvesting will reduce the dependency on groundwater.
d.The sewage reclamation that will be provided for Pansemal Tehsil will provide hygienic environment and relief from various diseases also it will prevent mixing of dirty water into nearby river and borewells.
e.The project will not have any adverse effect on the environment due to use of latest technology for manufacturing.
